A Pile of Milkcrates is the ongoing design practice of Tracy Wong based in Hong Kong. It operates at the intersection of communication design, social engagement, and speculative thinking.

The name refers to a flexible infrastructure, something that can carry tools , be sat on , re-used , borrowed , or stacked . It reflects a way of working that resourceful , open-ended , and grounded in the everyday .

This practice collaborates with communities, researchers, and institutions to develop co-design and participatory experiences. It asks how design can question dominant systems and build new pathways instead of fixed solutions.

A shared pile.
A held story.
A shifting system.
A lived corner.

A shared pile. A held story. A shifting system. A lived corner.
