Central is often viewed primarily as a commercial and business district, lacking a strong sense of neighbourhood identity or community connection. Starting from the network of neighbourhood places in Central, this project explores how the area can be seen not only as a commercial hub but as a vibrant neighbourhood to build community. Through printed materials and participatory tools, the design invites public dialogue and imagination. By engaging participants in conversations and ideation, the project activates varied spaces within Central Market, fostering a shared vision for neighbourhood commons. It culminates in meaningful dialogue to evaluate feasibility and local resonance.

Design Strategy
Rooted in the philosophy of the five elements, the identity system evokes cycles of transformation and interconnected development. It uses a dynamic visual language where color and form adapt to different project contexts—mirroring ecological processes. This approach invites intuitive engagement and positions design as a living, evolving system that responds to change and fosters a sense of connection and renewal.
A shared pile. A held story. A shifting system. A lived corner.
